99.1 FM CKXS donates to Chatham Goodfellows

Yesterday morning 99.1 FM CKXS held a twitter challenge with listeners, all proceeds were given to Chatham Goodfellows.  For each re-tweet, 99.1 FM CKXS would donate $2.50 to Chatham Goodfellows.  At the end of the challenge, 99.1 FM CKXS raised $537.50.

Last night at Chatham Goodfellows toy packing, Greg Hetherington presented the $537.50 donation to Chatham Goodfellow Director Rose Peseski, and President Scott Williston.

Chatham Goodfellows provide food and toys for families in Chatham, former townships of Dover, Chatham, Harwich and Raleigh (in Partnership with Merlin Legion).  This year the hardest-to-find toy of the season is a HATCHIMAL. Thanks to 99.1 FM CKXS and Canadian Tire in Wallaceburg, Greg Hetherington presented Chatham Goodfellows with a HATCHIMAL.  Last night at Chatham Goodfellows toy packing,  Greg randomly chose one of over 500 toy boxes to pack the rare HATCHIMAL for one lucky family.

Last night at Chatham Goodfellows toy packing, Greg Hetherington hides the HATCHIMAL with the aid of Chatham Goodfellow Director Rose Peseski, and President Scott Williston.

Chatham Goodfellows appreciates the generosity of the media, businesses, organizations and citizens.  Our motto is simple;  No Child Without a Christmas.  While our Code is much longer one of the key statements in the Code says it all;  It’s understanding a neighbour’s plight, and caring enough to do what’s right.
