Chatham Goodfellows 65th Annual “No Child Without a Christmas” Campaign Continues

Photograph 1  (L-R) Harper Slater, with Dad, Mark Slater presents 2 cheques; 1 for $3,800.00 and another for $200.00 to Chatham Goodfellows President Tim Haskell.  Crystal and Mark Slater, the owners of the Rustic Ranch conducted Christmas 2019 – An evening with SANTA!  Every Thursday from November 21 until December 12, Santa attended Rustic Ranch with the Grinch.   Families were treated to hot chocolate and donuts and an opportunity to have a family photograph taken with Santa, and the Grinch for a $10.00 donation to Chatham Goodfellows.  The Rustic Ranch was decorated in a Christmas ranch theme with vendors providing Christmas gifts for sale.  During the four night event Rustic Ranch collected a total of $3800.00 plus additional donations of $200.00 for a total of $4,000.00.
Photograph 2 (L-R) Chatham Goodfellows President Tim Haskell received over $3,500.00 in new toys from George Tourlas of Chatham Fine Cars 620 Richmond Street, and Angelo Tourlas of Maple City Smiles Denture Care Centre 450 Grand Avenue East.   George and Angelo have been operating their businesses in Chatham for well over a year.  Both George and Angelo wanted to “give back” to the residents of Chatham-Kent.  They both felt the best way to do this was to provide support to the Chatham Goodfellows to ensure “No Child Without a Christmas”.  Through diligence of encouraging friends, relatives and acquaintances, George and Angelo collected enough money to purchase over $3,500.00 in new toys.

Our motto is simple;  No Child Without a Christmas.  While our Code is much longer one of the key statements in the Code says it all;  It’s understanding a neighbour’s plight, and caring enough to do what’s right.
