Battery Boy Donates to Chatham Goodfellows

Kristie Card and Paul Card of Battery Boy presents a cheque for $2,500.00 and batteries to Rose Peseski of Chatham Goodfellows.

Battery Boy is a great partner of Chatham Goodfellows.  Battery Boy was one of the first business to come forward to assist Chatham Goodfellows in 2014 to replenish their battery stock after a large amount of batteries were stolen in a break and enter.  The donated batteries will be packed next week during toy packing,  December 12 – 15 between 6 pm – 8 pm at the former Sunnen Guspro Building 280 Grand Avenue East.  The $2,500.00 donation will be used to purchase  food and toys for an estimated 1500 families in Chatham and the former townships of Chatham, Dover and Harwich, Raleigh and the Merlin Community in partnership with the Merlin Legion.

Chatham Goodfellows appreciates the generosity of the media, businesses, organizations and citizens.  Our motto is simple;  No Child Without a Christmas.  While our Code is much longer one of the key statements in the Code says it all;  It’s understanding a neighbour’s plight, and caring enough to do what’s right.
