Chatham Goodfellows motto is, “No Child Without a Christmas”. While our Code is much longer the key statements in our Code is “It’s helping the young and old to know that someone cares when ill winds blow. It’s smoothing the way when the road is rough. Understanding a neighbours plight, and caring enough to do what is right”.
The Covid-19 Pandemic has had a profound effect on everyone, and in advance of Palm Sunday and Easter, the Chatham Goodfellows Board of Directors felt overwhelmingly compelled to follow their Code to help and provide a little joy to the children in Chatham-Kent at Easter. On Saturday evening following a unanimous vote by the Board, in a goodwill gesture to help provide some normalcy for the children of Chatham- Kent, Easter chocolate was purchased for distribution.
In order to minimize the spread of the virus, physical distancing and minimal contact with others is absolutely vital. Accordingly, for the distribution of the chocolate, the Board has identified three (3) locations who have already implemented Covid-19 precautions in their day-to-day operation. Below is the contact information for the respective groups. Please follow the Covid-19 directions and guidelines of the respective agencies. The Easter chocolates will be delivered by Chatham Goodfellows to the below locations on Monday afternoon.
